Schall & Barasch LLC was founded by Richard Schall and Patrica Barasch in 2000 to protect employee rights in the state of New Jersey. Richard Schall retired on June 30, 2024 after more than 35 years successfully representing hundreds of employees facing workplace discrimination.

Patricia Barasch continues to litigate employment discrimination and retaliation cases on behalf of individual employees in the state and federal courts in New Jersey, zealously advocating on behalf of her clients to secure justice and compensation.

The Schall & Barasch Law Firm represents employees at all levels of the workforce – from customer service rep to CEO. We serve as advocates for employees in protecting their rights in the workplace in the following areas:

Employee rights attorneys and founding partners Richard Schall and Patricia Barasch have dedicated the entirety of their careers to advancing the cause of employee rights both in New Jersey and throughout the United States. From June 2010 to June 2013, Ms. Barasch served as President of the National Employment Lawyers Association. This preeminent organization of plaintiffs’ employment lawyers in the United States has over 3,000 attorney members. Mr. Schall is a past president of the National Employment Lawyers Association/New Jersey.

Richard Schall and Patricia Barasch were also chosen to serve as the editors of the New Jersey Law Journal’s book, The Library of New Jersey Employment Law Firms.
